Customer Services
Great American Plan Administrators, Inc., was created in 1994 under the name GALIC Disbursing Company
(GDC) to provide common remitter services through which GDC would collect cash
withheld from an employee’s paycheck and remit it to various investment
options.
In 2005, GDC expanded its service offerings by providing
plan administration services for Non-ERISA 403(b) and 457 plans. To better
represent our expanded service, GDC’s name was changed to Great American Plan
Administrators, Inc. The common remitting service was spun off to an affiliate,
Great American Advisors®, Inc., for all plans
involving registered investment products.
Great American Advisors, Inc., is a registered broker-dealer and member of the
National Association of Securities Dealers.
GA Plan Administrators' senior management staff has
more than 60 years of combined experience in the financial services industry and 403(b) and 457
plan administration. The customer service team is staffed with knowledgeable and friendly
associates ready to respond to your day-to-day inquiries and assist you through
the plan administration process. The team is completed by more than 20
hard-working associates who are the foundation for excellent service. Currently,
we process more than one million transactions per year
with less than one percent error rate.
Having a retirement plan for your employees is a great asset to your
organization as you work to recruit and retain qualified individuals.
However, having that plan can create back-office headaches when it comes to
its administration.
That’s where we come in. At GA Plan Administrators, we take
the hassle out of the administration of your retirement plan so you
can focus on the business of your organization. Did you ever think that
having a retirement plan could be so easy on you?
You can elect to receive one remittance reminder that encompasses all of your
participating employees. We make it easy so all you have to do is submit one
check. We’ll take care of the rest.
The choice is yours. Would you like to be set up for weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, or monthly cycles? Would you like to suspend summer billing? We set up
whatever is convenient for your organization.
You can submit your remittance via check or wire. We also offer secured
online billing capabilities for you to easily provide us with details on how to
apply the funds.
No need to wait, wonder, and worry if your payments are getting to where they are
supposed to go. The premium we receive goes to product providers within 24 hours of receipt.
Employers, employees, and financial professionals can access information on our secured Web site 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. Information will be available when it’s convenient for you. You can
download forms, view current payment allocations and past remittance history, change account
information, research retirement topics, and more.
We take care of reviewing paperwork so that you don’t have to. After ensuring that the
request is in compliance with the plan document and current regulations, we’ll pass along
the appropriate forms to product providers.
What information do you need? In addition to general plan information, reports are available
by specific time period, specific vendor, or specific individual. All it takes is an e-mail or a phone call (800.695.1471) to get the information you need.
Every organization has different needs. We work with you to determine those needs and find out
how you want your plan to work. Then, we create a custom plan document for your organization,
and all you have to do is sign it.
Don’t spend your time checking individual accounts each year to be sure they are within
IRS contribution limits. We will review each account and alert participants who are not within IRS limits.
It’s important to stay compliant with tax laws, but with today’s regulatory environment, it can
be time-consuming and confusing. Who has time to decipher all those laws and regulations? We do!
GA Plan Administrators stays on top of new requirements
for your retirement plan and provides you with up-to-date
information so you can quickly and easily understand what they mean for your organization.
